Charley Chenery (1st January 1850 - 17th April 1928) was an international footballer who represented England 3 times scoring 1 goal. His first cap was against Scotland on 30th November 1872 at 22 years old, and his last was vs Scotland on 7th March 1874 aged 24. Chenery, born on 1st January 1850, in Lambourn, Berkshire, has a FA Legacy Number of 10 and played as a Forward for his country.

Charles John Chenery was born in Berkshire but had an affinity to Victoria, Australia all his life, his parents - although English - were married there. During 1859/60 the family returned to Mansfield, Victoria where two of his siblings were born. Five or so years later he is back in England attending Marlborough Grammar School. He represented Crystal Palace (Amateurs), Barnes and Wanderers who he was the secretary for in 1871. He appeared in an Alcock International in 1872 and played twelve times for Surrey at cricket (1872-73). He emigrated back to Australia in 1878 where he married.
