Notes:
Joe Marsden football career started at Darwen FC as a junior and then on to the senior team. He was the last Darwen player to be called up for England. His form for club and country meant a transfer to Everton in the summer of 1891 but sadly he was injured so badly during the first game of the season against WBA on 5th Sept 1891 and never played professional football again.
