Joe Marsden (11th October 1868 - 17th January 1897) was an international footballer who represented England 1 time scoring 0 goals. His only cap was against Ireland on 7th March 1891 at the age of 22. Marsden, born on 11th October 1868, in Darwen, Lancashire, has a FA Legacy Number of 174 and played as a Right Back for his country.

Joe Marsden football career started at Darwen FC as a junior and then on to the senior team. He was the last Darwen player to be called up for England. His form for club and country meant a transfer to Everton in the summer of 1891 but sadly he was injured so badly during the first game of the season against WBA on 5th Sept 1891 and never played professional football again.
