Arnold Hills (12th March 1857 - 7th March 1927) was an international footballer who represented England 1 time scoring 0 goals. His only cap was against Scotland on 5th April 1879 at the age of 22. Notes:
Hills was an English businessman, sportsman, philanthropist and author. He attended Harrow school and then up to Oxford, where he graduated in 1880. He appeared for Oxford University in the 1877 Cup Final, losing to Wanderers. He was also the English mile champion in 1878 and the three mile champion in 1879. He was the managing director of Thames Iron Works a large shipbuilding business and in 1895 he was a founding member of Thames Ironworks FC which later became West Ham Utd. He was president of the London Vegetarian Society in 1888 and worked alongside Mohandas Ghandi on it's committee. He also authored Vital Food (1892) which argued for a plant-based raw food diet.
