William Spencer Rowley

- Rowley started his football career with Hanley Orion before moving to Stoke Reserves in 1883. After a brief stint at Burslem Port Vale from 1884 to 1886 he returned to the Stoke senior side and played there until 1896 when he became the club secretary. In August 1898 he took up the position of club secretary at Leicester Fosse but because of some unknown objection his registration was suspended by the FA. He also worked as in the pottery trade.
