Notes:
Not as originally thought the Frederick Edward Tunstall born in Gravesend, Kent in 1900, but after excellent research by Johnny Meynell (Halifax Town Historian), it is actually Fred Tunstall born Darfield, Barnsley in 1897. Our Fred started his senior career at Scunthorpe Utd in 1920 before a £1,000 move to Sheffied Utd in December 1920 where he stayed for 12 years. He joined Halifax Town in February 1933 and then Boston Utd in the summer of 1936 - a year later he was player/manager and then just manager. He resigned in 1948 but stayed at the club as a trainer with a second stint as manager in 1964-65. He died in Fishtoft, near Boston in 1971.
